The info360 Conference & Expo, held from March 22 to 24, covered advances in a variety of enterprise trends and technologies, including cloud computing, enterprise mobility, enterprise social media, real-time collaboration, open platforms, business intelligence, and knowledge management. The show, which took place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., targeted technology professionals tasked with changing the way workers create, manage, share, and consume information.
Thought leaders from Western Union, Oracal, Box.net, EMC, LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft, IBM, AIIM, the FDA, and the National Reconnaissance Office, held sessions on the main stage. The show floor hosted exhibits from best-in-class information management technology solution providers, free education, and networking opportunities.
BancTec showcased its full line of business process outsourcing services for document and payment processing operations. The company demonstrated how businesses are able to better control—and extract more value from—critical document and payment processing functions.
Eccentex Corporation exhibited the first true platform-as-a-service solution designed specifically for cloud-based delivery of dynamic case management applications. The solution enables organizations to be more agile by helping improve case outcomes, optimize productivity, and manage risk while reducing costs and improving customer care.
Gimmal launched a new division, GimmalSoft, in order to deliver compliance and governance software for SharePoint content. The new product division was created to allow the company to leverage its domain experience in enterprise content and records management and SharePoint Information Governance implementation experience.
The company also announced a partnership with Colligo Networks to integrate Colligo’s email management software, Colligo Contributor, into the GimmalSoft Compliance Suite for SharePoint 2010.
In conjunction with ITEX, Global Graphics Software showcased a major advance in mobile printing with Intel. The solution provides peer-to-peer mobile printing using the Intel Atom processor and Global Graphics printing software to produce Microsoft Office documents, images, and PDFs, without the need to install printer drivers or be connected to the Internet using standard Bluetooth or WiFi.
intelledox Pty Ltd announced the Intelledox Enterprise V7, the newest version of the company’s intelligent document creation solution. The software is proven to reduce document generation time by up to 90 percent and eliminate the cost and risk of content chaos within an enterprise.
nextScan demonstrated a new fiche autoloader for use with the FlexScan 2 in 1 film and fishes scanner. The autoloader is an optional upgrade for existing FlexScan fiche users. It can also be bundled with new FlexScan devices.
OPEX Corporation announced its newest mixed document capture platform, the DS2200. The capture solution offers unique drop feed and packet feed technologies along with an edge-aligned auto feed capability. This enables users maximum flexibility for virtually any document scanning task.
In a separate announcement, Kofax announced an agreement to embed Kofax VirtualScan (VRS) software into the new scanner. The seamless integration of the DS2200 with Kofax VRS provides users with superior image quality, advanced line recognition, and improved scanning productivity.
Plustek Technology Inc. showcased its PS406 and PS406U scanners, which are newly supported by EMC Captiva ISIS Drivers, along with a special WarrantyPlus Program and a V.I.P. Value-Added Reseller (VAR) program. Plustek’s WarrantyPlus is an extended warranty program, which provides three years of warranty protection for owners of Plustek scanners, and includes an Advanced Unit Replacement service offering. Plusktek also announced its V.I.P. Program for VARs.
Xybion Corporation launched its newest governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solution, eGRC Enterprise. It helps organizations across multiple industry sectors manage, control, and automate key governance and quality processes. The suite consists of modular units that address key business functions. EGRC Enterprise interfaces with most versions of content management systems currently on the market, including Microsoft SharePoint, EMC Documentum, and Open Text Content Server.
