Each year, Electronics for Imaging (EFI) hosts its annual user conference in Las Vegas, NV. This year, the 20th annual EFI event took place from January 22 to 25, 2019 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
The conference highlighted segments of the company’s business, attracting printing, packaging, and industrial professionals. Attendees participated in educational breakout sessions, networking opportunities, and keynote presentations.

Event Highlights
One keynote fireside chat session illustrated the future of fashion and print. Teen fashion designer, Ariel Swedroe, discussed how digital printing technology furthered her design work. The event featured a fashion show illustrating how up-and-coming designers benefit from streamlined digital production technologies like EFI Reggiani textile inkjet printers.
The conference also featured technology innovations from EFI, including a new FS350 platform for EFI Fiery digital front ends (DFEs); the new Fiery proServer Premium DFE technology; and the new VUTEk h5 high-speed hybrid superwide format printer.
The EFI Fiery FS350 Pro drives cutsheet and continuous-feed digital production presses from EFI partners and ultra-high-speed, single-pass inkjet presses from EFI.
On the grand format side, the newest version of EFI Fiery proServer Premium DFE launched.
The high-volume EFI VUTEk h5 hybrid LED printer also debuted. It is part of the h series of machines that EFI R&D teams developed from the ground up.
The event also featured virtual reality demonstrations showcasing advanced technologies in EFI’s digital portfolio, including direct-to-board corrugated production on the EFI Nozomi C18000 and advanced tile decoration with 5th generation EFI Cretaprint printers.
EFI and Duplo also announced integration between EFI Fiery DFEs with workflow automation software and Duplo’s Raised Spot UV Coater.
Additionally, the company revealed that its EFI Fiery DFE technology and the Landa S10 Nanographic Printing Press combined to be the first to receive Fogra’s new expanded FograCert Validation Printing System certification.
Connecting in Las Vegas
The 20th annual EFI Connect event offered print, packaging, and industrial manufacturing professionals a place to learn about EFI’s latest technologies while networking with peers. dps
