Last week the official lead-in to Brand Print Americas 2020 was announced during PRINT 19. This new event is a collaboration between Tarsus Group, the organizer of Labelexpo Americas, and the Association for PRINT Technologies which will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL from September 15-17. Co-located with the 2020 edition of Labelexpo Americas, Brand Print Americas will bring together the commercial print and the label converter communities and provide exhibitors and attendees an opportunity to explore solutions that will enable them to expand their businesses.
Brand Print Americas is focused on the growth areas of print and how printers themselves are growing their businesses. Exhibitors will include manufacturers of technology that exist to facilitate putting ink on paper as well as materials that have not been printed on before. Also included are direct mail and other print providers that are finding their way into the mail stream, finishing machinery, workflow solutions, wide format printer manufacturers, substrate and ink suppliers, software developers, and others related to the industry.
The new floor plan was displayed at PRINT and exhibitors were extended the opportunity to select their booth space for next year’s brand-new event at a discounted rate. Many exhibitors took advantage of this and booths for Brand Print Americas 2020 are selling quickly.
“We’re looking ahead to the future of print and what it means to be in the print industry, said Thayer Long, president, APTech. “Our collaboration with Tarsus will connect two vibrant audiences providing both groups new and expanded opportunities. This event will be for the innovative leaders who know that this is the best time to be in print and are ready to take advantage of what the industry has to offer.”
The focus on Brand Print Americas 2020 comes after a highly successful PRINT 19 event. As noted by Keynote Nicholas Thompson, editor-in-chief of Wired, “we’re heading off to an amazing crazy future and we all get to help make the choices that determine what it means to be human.”
In addition to the new collaboration with Tarsus Group, the APTech has announced a series of new programs and services for their members to meet the specific needs of those who are in the print industry.
“There are a lot of associations in this industry and we looked at what was being delivered to the community and saw a gap. We realized that there is a desire to have honest conversations about how to excel in business and it’s no longer about speeds and feeds, but about what you can deliver to the end-customer,” said Long. “To push this idea of connection forward, we hosted a new event; the LeadingPRINT CEO Summit. It was for print service providers and it was a very frank discussion on what sucks about running a print business.”
The LeadingPRINT CEO Summit brought APTech’s LeadingPRINT magazine to life. Panelists were all previously featured in the magazine during the past twelve months. This summit was the first in a series that the association is working to deliver in 2020 along with several other programs that will be announced at a later date.
