Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. held its annual Dealer Business Conference and product expo from November 17 to 20, 2013 at the Palazzo Hotel/Resort/Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Themed, “Shape the Future,” the event featured presenters representing many aspects of the company’s business solutions offerings.
Kicking off the event, Rick Taylor, president and COO, Konica Minolta Business Solutions and Masatoshi Matsuzaki, president and CEO, Konica Minolta Inc., addressed attendees in a general session, followed by a keynote presentation by national sportscaster, Jim Nantz.
The company highlighted its growth for the 2012 fiscal year, including an IT services growth of 59 percent, a software/services growth of 44 percent, a hardware growth of eight percent, and an overall growth of six percent.
Key Announcements
During the event, Konica Minolta announced the expansion of its Envision IT vertical solutions to include tailored software, hardware, and IT services designed for financial, manufacturing, and government. The company states that the EnvisionIT family of products aims to assist vertical market customers to work smarter and more efficiently with integrated workflow solutions designed and supported by Konica Minolta.
The news expands on the company’s existing EnvisionIT vertical market solutions for education, healthcare, legal, and production print.
Additionally, Konica Minolta introduced two new software solutions to the EnvisionIT portfolio, which includes NSi Mobile and Dispatcher Phoenix Worldox Connector. NSi Mobile with Secure Mobile Print is a productivity application (app) for organizations that need to extend business processes to their mobile workforces. Worldox Connector is an app that captures and stores documents directly into a Worldox document management system, allowing users to easily scan, index, process, and save documents directly into a Worldox repository for organizing and sharing electronic documents.
The company also announced a strategic partnership with Precision Discovery, Inc. The partnership provides a service delivered by All Covered that helps Konica Minolta customers take advantage of electronic discovery, computer forensics, and cutting-edge software solutions designed to help reduce costs and increase attorney review efficiencies.
Dealer Awards
Konica Minolta also took a moment to recognize top-performing dealers for the annual Konica Minolta Dealer of Excellence Award and Dealer Lifetime Achievement Award.
Dean Swenson, president, The Swenson Group, of Livermore, CA, was elected for the Dealer of Excellence award. Terry Newsom, CEO, Pacific Office Automation, Inc., of Beaverton OR, was selected as the recipient for the Konica Minolta Dealer Lifetime Achievement Award.
