Labelexpo Americas is back from September 13 to 15, 2022 at the Donald E. Stephen’s Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. The event is ideal for printers/converters of labels, flexible packaging, and folding cartons; brand owners; label and packaging designers; and industry suppliers.

ACTEGA, booth 711, showcases its new line of inks as well as some of the company’s most innovative inks and coatings for food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. Highlight applications on display include inspiring labels and narrow web pouches showcasing ACTEGA’s LED-UV and water-based flexographic inks and coatings. Samples of haptic and visual effect coatings for shrink sleeves will also be sure to capture visitors’ attention. These coatings are applied on the outside of the shrink sleeve to give extra impact on the shelf and the variety of high-value effects achievable include soft touch, matte and raised image. Special LED-UV coatings for the internal part of the sleeves will also be on display and experts from the ACTEGA team will be on hand to explain the numerous functional benefits of applying these coatings.
Baldwin Technology Co. Inc., booth 729, demonstrates its portfolio of products for labels and packaging, which include color and inspection solutions, curing technology, and corona treatment systems. Launching at Label Expo is the Guardian PQV 100% Print Inspection version 4.0 with improved ease of use and simplified setup. The feature-rich system provides true 100 percent print quality verification for pharmaceutical, converting, label, flexography, wide, and narrow web applications from prepress through production, reporting, and archiving.
Cartes, booth 5403, unveils its digital embellishment concept, CARTES Jet D-Screen digital finishing technology, combined with its laser die-cutting system to build a perfect blend for digital converting processing. Simultaneously, it shows its GT360 SERIES for conventional embellishment of high-end labels.
Channeled Resource Group, booth 1211 features blank die-cut labels, including their newest offering Frost AT, an all-temperature adhesive for blank labels as well as their pressure-sensitive roll stock.
Durst Group, booths 3105 and 3123, showcases the highly successful and globally placed Tau RSC technology. The booth will offer a unique experience, showcasing the Durst Ecosystem of printers and software, and will provide visitors access to experienced industry experts. Durst features two printers from their Tau RSC Portfolio, the Durst Tau RSCi and the Durst Tau 330 RSC E. All Durst printers come fully equipped with Durst Workflow and Durst Analytics software, and optional Durst Smart Shop software, enabling web-to-print solutions. Visitors to booth #3105 will be able to view the vast functionally of our software and receive demos on special features such as precise ink cost analysis, exact color rendition, and high-speed ripping.
GTI Graphic Technology, Inc., booth 5600, features its ISO 3664 compliant viewing systems. Its featured product, the new CVX-3052/LED, light booth features a 29 inches deep by 52-inch wide viewing area, D50 LED lamps—5000K, LiteGuard lamp monitoring, side walls, and a floor stand. A range of desktop viewing systems will also be featured.
Eclipse Label Equipment, booth 6413, displays its range of label finishers that unwind, laminate, cut, slit, remove waste material, and rewind label rolls to customer requirements. The machines can be installed either online with a printer or offline. The company demonstrates the capabilities of the offline LF220HS, the online Mini+, and the new offline LF350HS for high-speed applications.
EyeC, booth 1337, features different systems for live demonstrations at their booth and in cooperation with partners. The one-on-display in its own stand is the EyeC ProofRunner, which performs 100 percent print inspection on printing presses and rewinders with up to 68 inches web width. Two EyeC Proofiler print sample inspection systems for sample sizes up to 50 by 36 inches will be on display, along with the EyeC Proofiler Graphic, which demonstrates how print-ready files are verified against the approved artwork.
Fedrigoni Self-Adhesive, part of the Fedrigoni Group, booth 3101, is a global leader in the production of high value-added specialty papers for packaging, publishing, and graphics, as well as premium labels and self-adhesive materials, will exhibit for the first time at Labelexpo. They will feature new products and services in four areas in the booth—Wine and Spirits, Home and Personal Care, Food and Beverage, and Smart Labeling

HP Indigo, booth 3226, features the global launch of the HP Indigo V12. A new rotary blanket technology allows the press to reach speeds of 120 mph in up to six colors. HP is positioning the V12 head-to-head with flexo, claiming it has superior print quality and greater productivity.
Innovia Films, booth 1121, devotes its space to helping label and brand designers understand the role of polypropylene labels in enhancing the recyclability of containers and packaging. As legislation and EPR is beginning to emerge, knowing what label choices are the best for various product designs is critical. In addition, its Encore range is in place for reduced carbon emissions and recycled content needs.
INX International, booth 129, showcases its new INXFlex Contour UV and LED dual core flexographic ink system. It also demonstrates the development of INX and VerifyMe, Inc.’s VerifyInk covert ink technology to help provide brand protection of products in the marketplace. The newest addition to the security inks product line runs on direct-to-product continuous inkjet (CIJ) printers. When used in tandem with VerifyMe’s proprietary and patented reading devices, it can identify counterfeit products across all markets including consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage. The company also showcases its Triangle brand of XJL UV Curable Inkjet inks, a premium-high performance formulation for Xeikon Jetrion 4830, 4900, and 4950LX series digital label printers.
JetFx, booth 3430, continues to add to its product portfolio by bringing breakthrough Digital Embellishment packaging solutions to Label Expo 2022. Attendees will see the world’s first turnkey 30” EBeam Digital Embellishment in cooperation with S-One LP. The technology will have a dramatic benefit to the Flex Pack market. 30” UV Digital Embellishment will also be available on various machines. In addition, JetFx will launch its new 3D Visualizer software powered by IC3D. The JetFx Visualizer allows users to generate live 3D mockups of their embellished labels, pouches or shrink sleeves utilizing pre-loaded embellishment libraries with modest pricing. JetFx will also continue to promote their retrofittable Digital Embellishment “SOLO” system for analog web machines available in 13-, 16-, 18-, 20-, and 30-inch widths.
Konica Minolta, booth 5803, is reinventing the digital label market, and displays a full line of labeling presses at Booth 5803. The company will unveil the AccurioLabel 400 five-color label press for the first time in the U.S., and will also showcase the AccurioLabel 230 and GM DC330 Mini. Together with Konica Minolta’s label presses, the GM DC330 Mini provides an end-to end digital label print and finishing solution. Virtual product demos will be available for Konica Minolta’s MGI JETvarnish 3D Web. A technology preview of the PKG-1300 full-color digital packaging press will also be part of the exhibit. Experts will be on-site for product demonstrations and questions, and samples will be available.
KURZ, booth 1817, digital embellishment has reached a level of speed, efficiency, productivity, and personalization that once could have only been imagined. It keeps pace with the throughput of conventional embellishment technologies, while fulfilling the promise of a tooling-free digital workflow. The patented Inkjet on Transfer Foil is a prime example of KURZ innovation in action and shown with the DM-UNILINER. End-user requirements for multiple substrate types place a premium on the technology, particularly for designers and brand owners in the wine and spirits, health and beauty, and luxury-packaging markets.
Mark Andy, booth 319, focuses on its traditional mid-market sector customers with the global launch of the Dpro Max press, which achieves speeds up to 40m/min in CMYK+White. Also on show for the first time at a trade show is the Digital Series IQ, a mid-market hybrid press developed jointly with Domino.
Nobelus, booth 3605, a long-time thermal laminate supplier for general commercial print, launches a complete portfolio of specialty unsupported films specifically designed for the prime label industry. Featuring an exciting range of materials, textures, and visual effects, this portfolio promises prime label converters new lamination options with cost savings for gloss and matte finishes. Highlights in the collection include a stunning Rainbow Holografik Film, the completely plastic-free EcoElement CLS Gloss/Matte Films, and Karess HE high-efficiency soft-touch. Essential PlatinumOPP Gloss/Matte Films, a premium soft-touch Karess, and an ultra-durable ScuffProof Film round out the portfolio to cover any prime label application.
PCMC, booth 1435, showcases the ION digital hybrid press and encourages attendees to see its Meridian Elite laser anilox cleaner in action.
PPG, booth 5619, showcases its PPG TESLIN label stock at Labelexpo Americas 2022. This highly printable synthetic excels in applications that demand a tough, high-performance material. They will showcase a variety of printed samples of Teslin label stock so attendees can touch and feel the print quality.

Yupo Corporation, booth 567, announces that The Association of Plastic Recyclers has recognized Yupo Corporation’s YUPO white polyolefin in-mold label unprinted substrates for HDPE bottles as meeting or exceeding APR’s HDPE-CG-02, Critical Guidance Protocol.
Xeikon America, Inc., a division of Flint Group, booth 5703, features two technologies for label printing applications in their booth #5703, their Panther technology for UV inkjet, and its Cheetah technology for dry-toner applications.
