Esko and GlobalVision bring AI-powered compliance intelligence to packaging workflows with new Verify Comply
The new solution combines intelligent artwork verification with centralized brand and regulatory rulebooks to help brands reduce risk and accelerate packaging production
Esko and GlobalVision have today (18th October) introduced Verify Comply, a new AI-powered compliance assistant designed to help brands and packaging teams review artwork, labels, and packaging against regulatory requirements and internal brand standards.
Unveiled at PACK EXPO Chicago, the new solution is the first joint product from the two companies following the acquisition of GlobalVision earlier this year. By combining the technologies, Verify Comply enables packaging and labeling teams to move beyond manual, fragmented compliance checks towards a more intelligent and consistent approach to artwork verification.
Available both within the Esko WebCenter packaging management platform and as a standalone solution, Verify Comply combines intelligent document understanding with centralized, reusable compliance rulebooks, helping teams standardize reviews across products, markets, agencies, and packaging suppliers.
Introducing the product on the first day of PACK EXPO at Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center, Srinivas Kuppa, Chief Product Officer with Esko, said: “Verify Comply represents more than the combination of two products. It reflects the coming together of Esko and GlobalVision’s complementary strengths to solve one of the industry’s most persistent challenges: how to move packaging to market faster without compromising quality or compliance.
“As regulatory requirements become more complex and teams are asked to do more with less, Verify Comply gives brands a smarter, AI-powered approach to managing compliance, mitigating risk, reducing recalls and accelerating speed-to-market,” he said.
Verify Comply is designed to act as a single source of truth for global and brand compliance. Teams can create and maintain living rulebooks that codify regulatory requirements, brand standards, and packaging specifications, then apply those rules consistently across SKUs, markets, and production workflows. Its AI-powered capabilities provide a human-like understanding of packaging content, enabling teams to interpret and review elements such as claims, nutritional and supplement facts, allergens, panels, copy, and other critical packaging information rapidly and at scale.
Jonathan Rossy, Director of the GlobalVision product line with Esko, said Verify Comply delivers a truly new way of verifying quality based on the integration of the core capabilities of both companies. “Compliance reviews have become a major source of complexity for packaging and labeling teams,” he said. “With increasing regulatory requirements, expanding product portfolios, and pressure to get products to market faster, teams need a smarter way to identify risks before they become costly errors.
“Verify Comply uses AI to automate and strengthen compliance verification, helping teams reduce manual review effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate the path from artwork creation to approved packaging. It’s about giving organizations greater confidence in every release while helping them work at a scale that’s no longer possible with manual processes alone.”
Key capabilities of Verify Comply include:
Centralized compliance rulebooks: Most advanced rulebook creates a single source of truth for brand and regulatory requirements that can be applied consistently across products, markets, teams, and agency partners.
Human-like document understanding: Use AI to interpret packaging content and identify potential compliance issues in context, including claims, allergens, nutritional information, panels, and other critical elements.
AI-powered compliance checks: Automatically compare artwork against defined requirements to identify missing, incorrect, or non-compliant content.
Reusable, living rulebooks: Turn existing compliance knowledge, guidelines, and requirements into codified rules that can be continually updated and shared across teams.
Workflow integration: For WebCenter customers, run AI rulebooks and compliance checks directly within existing packaging workflows and against packaging data stored in WebCenter.
Standalone deployment: Organizations can also use Verify Comply independently, accessing the same intelligent quality checks without requiring WebCenter.
“As packaging portfolios become more complex and brands face increasing regulatory requirements across markets, compliance can quickly become a bottleneck,” said Jan De Roeck, Esko Director of Marketing, Strategy & Industry Relations. “Verify Comply brings intelligence, consistency and automation to this critical stage of the packaging workflow, helping teams identify potential issues earlier, reduce risk and move packaging to market with greater confidence.
“By bringing compliance intelligence directly into packaging workflows, Verify Comply enables brands and their packaging partners to standardize critical checks, share knowledge across teams, and maintain greater control over quality and regulatory requirements, all while allowing creative and production teams to focus on getting packaging to market,” he said.
Visitors to PACK EXPO Chicago are invited to discover Verify Comply at Booth W-30022. The Esko and GlobalVision team will showcase the new solution and demonstrate how AI-powered compliance can become an integrated part of modern packaging production.
