To enhance the day-to-day operations of its 250 independent nationwide dealers, Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. today announces the upcoming launch of a new support program. By collaborating with leading dealer management software provider, ECi Software Solutions, Inc., Toshiba simplifies the customer ordering process for its dealers.
By integrating with ECi Software Solutions’ ECi e-automate® software system – starting on Jan. 27th – authorized Toshiba dealers may automate customer purchase orders. Toshiba is currently the only multifunction products (MFPs) manufacturer fully optimizing e-automate software’s PO Processor™ purchasing portal to provide its dealer network with the capability to quickly and conveniently order Toshiba-manufactured parts, supplies and equipment.
Through PO Processor, Toshiba dealers receive real-time pricing, price comparisons and equipment availability from ECi Software Solutions’ supply network to facilitate the often cumbersome and time-intensive procedure of placing purchase orders. As a result, Toshiba dealers may soon create orders to the supplier while also receiving shipping confirmations and even an accounts payable voucher in advance of the invoice.
Coupled with the capability to purchase Toshiba parts, supplies and equipment, the company’s authorized dealers will also be capable of procuring a wide array of products from other manufacturers. Toshiba will distribute these products from its own distribution centers and even drop-ship items via its distributor partners. By integrating the ECi e-automate system, Toshiba dealers receive even further benefits including: private label MPS (managed print services) supplies; supply routing labels; multiple billing options (including credit card ordering) as well as the capability to place large aftermarket contract orders.
“The collaboration with ECi Software Solutions empowers our independent dealer network to operate more efficiently and effectively by fully automating the time-consuming purchase ordering process,” said Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. Vice President of Distribution and Aftermarket Sales, Tom Walter. “As a result of streamlining this vital operation, our authorized dealers may improve their overall efficiencies while placing a sharper focus on fully addressing their customers’ content management needs.”
“While searching for an MFP manufacturer to partner with, it was imperative to pinpoint one with a reputation for delivering industry-leading products and services,” said Laryssa Alexander, President of ECi Software Solutions Service Technology Division. “When the opportunity presented to collaborate with a company with a worldwide reputation for innovation such as Toshiba, we found an ideal match.”
