“Pitney Bowes is committed to leading-edge product innovation, driving improved performance and value creation for our clients,” said Grant Miller, Vice President, Global Strategic Product Management, Pitney Bowes. “The Epic Inserting System demonstrates this commitment. This innovation extends beyond high speeds and automation to address key areas where mailers can improve efficiencies. By maximizing productive uptime and minimizing labor and material costs, Epic™ will help our clients pursue more profitable service level agreements and expand their capabilities to meet future market demands.”
To create Epic, Pitney Bowes built upon its globally respected Mailstream Productivity Series (MPS) inserting platform. The new solution will help high volume transactional print and mail service providers – particularly those processing mail in the financial services, insurance, healthcare and telecommunications industries – to move swiftly and easily from job to job and from letters to flats in a single workcell.
“Our clients are being tasked with processing different mail formats in varying volumes, so they are constantly looking for ways to increase productivity without compromising integrity and accuracy. Epic meets this challenge by allowing users to incorporate multiple mail formats onto one system and enabling faster changeovers to maximize system uptime and accelerate ROI.” said Miller.
Combining high performance physical mailing capabilities with precise advanced digital intelligence, Epic also provides real-time, integrated end-to-end tracking and control. Epic accurately tracks all pieces within a job and reduces spoilage and job reconciliation requirements through real-time paper path corrections. An intuitive new digital user interface is compatible with mobile devices and makes it easy for operators to view progress and identify risks. Real-time reporting and alerts help operators quickly adapt to changing conditions to facilitate a seamless flow of work from one stage to the next.
