Ricoh Americas Corporation today unveiled the 5th Color Kit, a valuable collection of applications that commercial printers can use to demonstrate eye-catching five-color output to their customers. These practical applications – including tickets, fliers, badges and other documents commercial print customers often shop for – are bundled with step-by-step instructions for users looking to replicate them, along with detailed, need-to-know procedures like switching between white and clear toner. The 5th Color Kit is available for viewing at the Ricoh booth, #300, at IPMA in Orlando, Fla., this week.
The affordability of the RICOH Pro C7100X series gives printers the ability to broaden their portfolios. Now they can produce applications that take full advantage of the vastly expanded creative range a fifth color station affords. Expanded capabilities include the use of a much wider variety of substrates, as well as working with designs that could not be adequately reproduced by a four-color process.
“Commercial printers are seeking to expand into new markets, such as retail and fashion, at an affordable price point,” said John Fulena, Vice President, Production Printing Business Group, Ricoh Americas Corporation. “What’s great about the 5th Color Kit is that it’s a practical guide that empowers them to do just that. It highlights the kind of applications commercial printers are looking for to increase revenues and incremental business – while also helping their customers deliver new, value-added services to their end users.”
“We are always open to new opportunities and have been looking to break into high-end retail for a long time but we needed the right technology at the right price to deliver the results these types of clients demand,” said Nathaniel Grant, owner of GAM Graphics and Marketing. “Now, with the 5th Color Kit from Ricoh and the RICOH Pro C7100X, we’re doing the work we’ve always wanted to do, and we’re more profitable than ever. And I’m loving it.”
