Screen Americas, a leader in print-on-demand technology, and Sensible Technologies, a specialist in intelligent inserting systems, have teamed up to offer transactional mailing companies a total print, integration and service solution for mail production. This partnership, considered “a natural fit” by both parties, will broaden transactional mailers’ access to the complementary skillsets and support capabilities of the two companies.
Transactional mailers have recognized the value of combining the Screen Truepress Jet520 series inkjet web press with Sensible Technologies’ smart feeder/folders, inserters and document verification system. The Truepress Jet520 is the world’s most successful high-speed, variable data inkjet web press. Screen has manufactured more than 800 of the presses since 2005, designed to meet demand for quality production of transpromotional print, direct mail, magazines and books.
The partnership between Screen and Sensible Technologies will provide customers with one place to call for all production, system integration and service support for mail production lines. With one call, mailers can save significant time and effort implementing and maintaining a highly productive solution from white paper to finished mail.
To that end, customers will be able to avail themselves of expert analyses and referrals on the top technologies to maximize print mail projects. Screen and Sensible Technologies also will collaborate on the best service and deepest coverage to make the Truepress Jet520 series that much more attractive to transactional mailers who are considering Sensible Technologies’ feeder/folders and inserting equipment.
“Sensible Technologies is a recognized leader in durable paper-handling technologies that deliver high efficiency and throughput,” said Ken Ingram, Screen’s vice president of sales and marketing. “Its growing service organization with onsite technicians who maintain multiple systems allows the company to develop powerful insights into transactional service bureaus’ operations. Combining Sensible Technologies’ expertise in the transactional space and Screen’s prominence in high-quality, high-speed printing will extend our companies’ potential customer bases.”
“We are excited to offer the latest technology to Screen’s customers through this relationship,” said Earle Painter, president of Livonia, Michigan-based Sensible Technologies. “We both have excellent sales and service organizations going down the same path with expertise in different parts of the business. Because our service model is built around onsite presence at many companies, Sensible Technologies can serve as the immediate link to Screen technology and first line of support. That is a package the competition cannot match.”
