intelliPaper has announced that they will be printing their innovative paper products with PSI Engineering’s Laser Mail™ 7000. intelliPaper’s swivelCard™ is a plain business card, that’s empowered with intelligence. Each card can be plugged into a USB port, features a unique QR code, and has optional NFC (near field communication) wireless capability. PSI Engineering’s Laser Mail™ 7000 is capable of printing such business cards and other difficult stock. With on demand variable data/variable image printing, the 5 Color Laser Mail™ 7000 prints opaque white or clear, adding depth, impact and style to prints.
“We are thrilled to supply intelliPaper with the Laser Mail™ 7000, so they can digitally print their smart business cards with embedded USB capability and built-in analytics,” states John Panunto, President – PSI Engineering. “Our Laser Mail™ 7000 is a versatile digital printing system that produces razor sharp, vibrant images. While most imaging devices employ technologies that are 1 bpp (bits per pixel), the Laser Mail™ 7000 uses LED imaging technology delivering an optical resolution of 1200 dpi x 1200 dpi (dots per inch),” continues Mr. Panunto. “Being able to print such business cards, like the swivelCard™, is one example how our innovations are improving todays printing capabilities,” concludes Mr. Panunto.
PSI Engineering’s Laser Mail™ 7000 uses single pass color digital technology. The straight-thru print path supports media thickness up to 450 gsm and prints a wide variety of envelope sizes from 3” x 5” (7.6 x 12.7 cm) to 13” x 26” (33 x 66 cm) directly from the PSI envelope feeder.
