Printers can make sure jobs land in their shops with more frequency by giving their buyers and designers arifiQ[1], an easy-to-use online application providing 24/7 access to printers’ estimating servers.
Buyers can get quotes in seconds, and place orders whenever they like. The printer can use arifiQ to reduce manual, administrative tasks to up to an hour per order[2]. Setting up or updating the arifiQ Estimating Server database takes a few minutes — another huge task that usually consumes printers’ days and months. In fact, arifiQ is offering arifiQ Estimating Server onsite set-ups at no charge, at the company’s booth #526 at Dscoop San Antonio, April 14-18.
The set-up includes a fully functioning, 2 week trial of arifiQ Pro. Appointments are recommended: www.arifiq.com/dscoopsanantonio
“Print cycles have to be extremely fast to keep up with other media in multichannel campaigns, and brand owners and buyers will not wait,” warns Eva Rosen, arifiQ co-founder and Chairperson of the innovative Swedish company. “You have to react immediately to get the job.
“We look forward to meeting Dscoop attendees, and showing them how fast and easy it is to secure more orders, and more profit!”
What is arifiQ?
arifiQ is a full-scale estimating system that utilizes printers’ inventories, including print devices, to give printer salespersons or their customers direct, 24/7 access to quotes. Printer set-up time can take as little as minutes[3]. arifiQ supports automatic receipt of ready-to-print purchase orders for printers’ digital and offset, sheetfed and webfed; production lines.
arifiQ Core is the Estimating engine necessary to all arifiQ solutions, and is the heart of the arifiQ solution environment. It’s here that arifiQ’s proprietary algorithms work to make instant quotes possible.
When arifiQ Core is set-up with the print provider’s printing presses, paper stock, post-press machinery, hourly costs and profit margin, the estimating engine manages automated: Quotes, Ready-to-print orders, Job tickets, Customer data, Production data and File storage.
The arifiQ API enables integration with other systems; including MIS, workflow and graphic design systems, as well as other applications and user interfaces. Every arifiQ application and add-on requires an installed arifiQ Core Engine loaded with the print provider’s machinery, paper-stock and costs.
ArifiQ Core owners also have the option to brand and customize the interface.
The two standard arifiQ versions available are:
arifiQ Pro
– the full-scale web site tool for professional print buyers. Includes arifiQ Core.
arifiQ with Adobe® InDesign®
– a plug-in for designers and advertising agencies. Includes arifiQ Core.
mmediate Return for Printers
arifiQ says its customers have proven the direct relationship between giving buyers control of quotes, and increased orders.
In fact, arifiQ cites a study showing that 35%[4] of available sales go to the first quote submitted – the customer doesn’t wait for other quotes to come in.
“To win this race, the printer has to put estimating in the hands of the customer, plain and simple,” Karlsson says. “What’s the point of all the streamlining and automation in the production workflow, if you can’t get the job started because you are waiting for quotes?””
“It’s archaic,” Rosen concurs. “Say good-bye to The Great Wait.”
