Offering a “Different Class of Printers” to help meet customer demands, Canon U.S.A., a leader in digital imaging solutions, today announced the addition of four new models that refresh and replace its best-selling Color imageCLASS models. Designed to provide a level of performance and support to small businesses and home offices that is on closer par with equipment sold to larger offices, but in a smaller form factor, the new Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw/MF731Cdw/MF634Cdw/MF632Cdw printers offer intuitive use, enhanced performance and a more vivid, vibrant image quality compared with predecessor versions. Furthermore, all four models offer new higher-yield consumables and a new standard limited three-year warranty backed by Canon’s one hundred percent U.S.-based service and support network, providing businesses with both the tools to be successful and increased peace of mind for when its needed the most. The four new imageCLASS models will be available at retail stores and via online retailers, making them easily available to learn more, touch, try and purchase.
“Canon is proud to unveil the latest upgrades to our celebrated imageCLASS lineup,” said Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “When looking for a new printer, customers want a reliable device that can quickly and easily deliver high-quality results, whether they are using it in their own home or place of work. With these models, we took things a step further, enhancing color quality output and protecting the user’s investment with a three-year limited warranty, helping make these new imageCLASS models truly a different class of printers.”
The Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw and MF634Cdw models are “all-in-one” devices with print, scan, copy and fax capabilities while the MF731Cdw and MF632Cdw models are “three-in-one” with their ability to print, scan and copy. The Color imageCLASS MF733Cdw and MF731Cdw printers are designed for a recommended monthly print volume of approximately 750 – 4,000 sheets and allow for an expandable paper capacity of up to 850 sheets. Alternatively, the MF634Cdw and MF632Cdw models are positioned for those printing at a recommended monthly print volume of approximately 200 -2,500 sheets with a paper capacity of up to 151 sheets.
Intuitive User Experience
Users will be welcomed by a new, streamlined control panel and user interface. The touch panel for all four models has been increased from 3.5 to 5 inches, representing a “best in class” industry screen size for the MF634Cdw/MF632Cdw, to allow for more on-screen options and features, cell-phone-like “flick” technology for ease of navigation, and a digital QWERTY keyboard to help users enter data more easily. The display also offers visual guides to assist users in getting the most out of their printer and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Users on the go will be able to take advantage of built-in
Wi-Fi® Direct Connection1 capabilities, allowing users to print from a variety of locations in their home or office without the need to access a separate network. A remote user interface allows users to access the status of their job, including paper and toner status.2
Enhanced Performance
Speed is an integral component of a successful printing operation for small businesses dealing with severe time constraints and limited staff. These devices feature major speed upgrades from their predecessors with MF730 Series models now providing a speed of up to 28 pages-per-minute (ppm) and up to19 ppm for the MF630 Series devices. To further speed up workflows, the imageCLASS MF733Cdw and MF634Cdw models both feature single pass, two-sided scanning to allow for more efficient processing of double-sided documents by scanning both sides of the original document in one pass through the duplex, automatic document feeder.
Vivid, Vibrant Color Output
The new imageCLASS printers take advantage of Canon’s V2 color technology that is typically reserved for more expensive equipment to expand the color-reproduction rage for more vivid and vibrant output. Through V2 technology, printed documents feature improved saturation and sharpness to highlight details and heighten color. Users will find that their printed documents accurately reflect the clarity and richness of the original image, an important component for those operations producing high quality business prints and rich color images.
Larger Toner Cartridges
Intended to reduce customer maintenance requirements and downtime, all four models leverage new hi-yield and standard yield consumables that are significantly larger than predecessor versions. The MF730 models offer 6,300 page (black) and 5,000 page (cyan, magenta, yellow) hi-yield cartridges, as well as standard version consumables offering 2,200 page (black) and 2,300 page (cyan, magenta, yellow). The MF630 models offer 2,800 page (black) and 2,200 page (cyan, magenta, yellow) hi-yield cartridges, as well as standard version consumables offering 1,400 page (black) and 1,300 page (cyan, magenta, yellow).
Extended Support
To help customers protect their investment and minimize downtime, all four of the new imageCLASS models come with an out-of-the-box three year limited warranty. This extended warranty separates these four new Canon imageCLASS printers from competitive offerings, which frequently only offer a year-long initial warranty. Recognizing the importance of reliability and quality service, imageCLASS owners are treated to award-winning support that is one hundred percent based in the United States to help alleviate any issues that they may be experiencing through expert assistance.
