Canon Solutions America, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., today announced the release of COLORlynx Color Management Suite version 2.0. The release marks the expansion of the COLORlynx Color Management Suite to include Evaluate, a trending and monitoring module for COLORlynx, and also includes enhancements and extensions to both COLORlynx Profiler and COLORlynx Standard. This update illustrates Canon Solutions America’s continued commitment to helping customers achieve consistent, accurate and repeatable color output regardless of their choice in equipment and strengthens the CGS Publishing Technologies International GmbH (CGS) and Canon Solutions America color management collaboration to offer exclusive color management solutions to Canon Solutions America’s customers.
Evaluate, the newest addition to the COLORlynx Color Management Suite, allows COLORlynx customers to monitor the quality of their color presses and track that performance over time. With Evaluate, all verification measurements made in COLORlynx are automatically uploaded into the Evaluate tool in the cloud. Users can track performance trends over time, and analyze individual measurements: view patch targets versus actuals both numerically and visually, analyze delta E, lightness and hue. Users can also generate compliance reports on the fly, so they are always in control of their color quality. Evaluate will be offered on a per device basis as an annual subscription for both COLORlynx Profiler and COLORlynx Standard customers, and will be available for order taking and delivery November 1, 2016.
This release of COLORlynx Color Management Suite also includes enhanced imagePRESS targets within COLORlynx Profiler and COLORlynx Standard for the new Canon imagePRESS C850 and C750 and unlimited devicelink profiles for all versions of the software.
“COLORlynx color quality is second to none,” said David Palmieri, director of Strategic Accounts & Business Alliances for CGS. “Utilizing ORIS color technology with Canon’s imagePRESS devices helps their customers achieve the highest level of color quality and consistency. Enabling access to our cloud-based Evaluate solution is a natural extension of the COLORlynx suite and makes it possible for any customer to easily monitor, maintain and diagnose color compliance for their digital presses anywhere in the world.”
“Canon Solutions America is pleased to expand our relationship with CGS as the exclusive distributor of the COLORlynx Color Management Suite,” said Tracie Sokol, vice president, marketing, Enterprise Services and Solutions, Canon Solutions America. “Our continuing relationship with CGS brings unique value to Canon Solutions America customers. Evaluate will help our customers monitor the performance of their imagePRESS digital presses, reducing downtime and unplanned service calls, increasing productivity and profitability.
CGS will showcase the Evaluate solution during GRAPH EXPO 2016. Drop by the CGS booth #1873 to see a demonstration, and see if COLORlynx and Evaluate are the right solution for you.
