Contex, the world’s leader of wide format scanning and imaging solutions, today announces the SD One, the market’s first wide format scanner designed for the desktop. SD One is ideal for users to scan oversized engineering and construction drawings for immediate cloud sharing — another exclusive capability of Contex scanners. Sleek and lightweight, SD One is an attractive asset for the office, and is easily transportable to where it’s needed. SD One is available in 24- and 36-inches wide and comes with Nextimage FREE scanning software and an optional stand. The scanner is available now from authorized Contex resellers worldwide.
“This is the first time that a wide format scanner has been designed to be placed on someone’s desk,” comments Morten Nielsen, Global Marketing Director, Contex A/S. “The SD One is a convenient tool that is within immediate reach, allowing users to instantly capture documents, as builts, and other design changes as they are received. It’s a tremendous time-saver.”
SD One for Convenience
With built-in cloud connectivity, the new SD One lets users scan all of their wide format documents and save them to Google Drive, Dropbox, Box.com, or Microsoft OneDrive. The convenient SD One eliminates the need to outsource the scanning function. Instead, users can capture changes to drawings and other documents as they occur, with date and time stamping. This significantly boosts productivity.
The SD One scans 36-inch hard copy documents up to 600 dpi. ENERGY STAR certified, SD One comes with Nextimage FREE and Nextimage TWAIN, with automated software updates. The scanning software features Automatic Image Quality for instant cleanup and alignment. Scanned images can be saved to JPG, TIF, PDF and PDF/A. Nextimage FREE also comes with integrated image viewer and enables automatic file naming. The software is available in Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, and Polish.
