HiFlow Solutions, a leading global provider of end-to-end business management software solutions for folding carton, label converters, flexible packaging and corrugated producers, announced today that it has distributed the latest version of HiFlow IMP software to all EskoWorld participants. HiFlow is an established Esko partner, and a silver sponsor of the event scheduled for June 25 – 27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine TX.
EskoWorld attendees each received a copy of HiFlow IMP. The software makes it easy for estimators to calculate the optimal sheet/form size for a specific product requested by a customer. Contained in the free app is a catalog of different packaging structures of packaging. “These structure descriptions are familiar to most of our users,” says Romek Kowalczyk, Product Manager at HiFlow Solutions, who developed the specifications for this application. “Once they choose the item from the catalog that matches the customer request, they can see the design, the flat layout of the requested item. This is always the first step in creating an estimate. They are then able to make changes to the parameters, if needed, and enter the sheet size that matches their printing equipment. Then they select Impose, and the design is automatically imposed on the right sheet size with the most efficient possible use of the substrate. This eliminates the need to involve the CAD department and immediately provides the estimator with the information needed to generate the estimate, including the amount of material required.”
As partners with Esko, HiFlow now easily integrates with Esko products such as the Automation Engine.
“At the show, we were excited to demonstrate HiFlow 4.0’s latest integration with the Esko Automation Engine,” states Jack J Lafler, VP of Sales and Technical Services. “Our partnership with Esko and integration of Automation Engine offers a more powerful solution to our joint customer base by seamlessly linking a wide variety of customer-facing and prepress activities to the MIS system with bidirectional exchange of information and data.” Lafler adds that HiFlow is currently in the process of implementing this integration in two locations, one in Europe and one in North America.
“The integration with Esko Automation Engine takes the HiFlow experience to another level by bringing the customer and prepress seamlessly into the workflow. These developments, both in the new software release and integrations with applications such as Esko Automation Engine are a result of our ongoing research into emerging industry trends and a significant amount of time spent listening to our customers to better understand how we can improve the offerings to meet their changing needs.”
