This year at Dscoop Phoenix, we are gathering again to celebrate HP Graphics solutions success and showcase our latest digital press portfolio, which continues strong worldwide adoption. HP Indigo customers are also benefitting from this momentum with double digit page growth, fueled by a new record in printing impressions for the 2016 holiday peak season.
I’m especially proud that less than 12 months after presenting our drupa 2016 portfolio, with the largest innovation ever around LEP technology, all products announced have been delivered and are being used by thousands of customers in 120 countries.
We’re especially excited to announce here this week at Dscoop Phoenix the installation of the 500th Series 4 Indigo digital press, the B2-sized platform unveiled at drupa 2012. Additionally, in less than a year, since drupa 2016, more than 200 HP Indigo 7900 units have been sold. The HP Indigo WS6800 for labels and packaging is also a leader in its category with over 1000 active presses.
GLS/NEXT Precision Marketing, the Midwest’s most awarded printing company, is our 500th installation for a Series 4 press. GLS/ NEXT Precision Marketing was an early adopter of the HP Indigo 10000, and this latest addition is its third Series 4, an HP Indigo 12000. It will enable the company to create tailored solutions for its clients, and helping them secure the growth they are looking for.
We are proud to see the ongoing growth of our customers around the world, as well as the innovation in applications and business models they develop.
In reaction to the news of it being the 500th Series 4 press installation, GLS/NEXT Precision Marketing President & CEO Jayme Wisely said: “The B2 sheet size and high quality output have been a real game changer, and we expect our new HP Indigo 12000 to enable our company to raise the bar even higher.”
Installed in 46 countries, the Series 4 press platform includes the HP Indigo 10000 and 12000 for commercial printing, HP Indigo 20000 for labels and flexible packaging, and HP Indigo 30000 for folding cartons and plastics, as well as the duplex, 30-inch/B1 roll-fed HP Indigo 50000, which recently completed its first customer installation at Digital Lizard, Las Vegas.
Dscoop community embodies the ideal of partnership and innovation to continue driving the future of the Graphics industry. If you are at the show, please make sure to stop by the HP areas or the Technology Fair, which highlights many of the innovations in inks and application possibilities currently under research at HP Indigo labs. We are looking for feedback from the industry on what technologies have the highest value. It is exciting to see that some of the technologies showcased last year are now released products used by our customers.
We also invite everyone to join us in the evening of March 2, 2017, where we’ll be recognizing the winners of the 2017 HP Inkspiration Awards and highlighting the best of what the Dscoop community has produced in the past year. These awards will be presented to the entrants in recognition of the most innovative and creative work produced on HP technology.
