KBA North America is pleased to introduce its RotaJET L digital press at the spring meeting of the Composite Panel Association on April 17-20 at the Westin La Paloma in Tucson, Arizona. As a new member, KBA will be discussing its industrial digital press to the organization’s members and promoting its key attributes for those in the development of flooring and surface materials for the commercial and residential construction industries.
“In 2012, KBA introduced its first roll-fed digital ink jet press for the publishing and commercial print markets,” says Bruce Richardson, KBA national sales manager for web presses. “It was a success, and from that start, the RotaJET – our industrial inkjet digital press for the composite material and décor market – has risen to the top for its speed, quality and precision. Today, we have expanded the RotaJET to print wider web widths and on a greater variety of substrates. We’re receiving a tremendous amount of interest in our presses in your market. What we bring that no other press manufacturer can boast is our wealth of know-how in web guidance and substrate handling accumulated over many years. Next month at the graphic arts industry’s premier trade show in Germany, we will announce faster web speeds on our press.”
The RotaJET series starts at a 30 inch web width and can be supplied by KBA up to a width of 81 inches. The new KBA RotaJET L and RotaJET VL digital inkjet presses are perfect for industrial application markets. The modular RotaJET L platform is available in five different web widths from 35.2-inches to 51.1-inches and can be easily upgraded to the maximum printing width and color content. The RotaJET VL inkjet press is available with a printing width of over 5.2-ft or over 6.6-ft for industrial applications. Additionally, it can be flexibly configured to suit all fundamental application areas in the high-volume digital printing segment. Retrofitting future generations of printing heads is also possible. Users can thus react quickly and economically to changing demands without needing to invest in an entirely new machine.
“We’re very excited to be in this new market segment,” says Oliver Baar, KBA Business Development & Marketing for Digital Web Presses. “KBA is the only press vendor that has a press for manufacturers to the highest, most sophisticated level. We offer the full width VL Series 68-88-inch deco press for flooring and the L Series 31-50-inch press that supports other applications for the flooring market. We are also the only press manufacturer to offer upgradeability. For example, a new smaller customer might want to make a moderate investment in a RotaJET press; as they build their business and begin to reach higher output or move into new markets, only with KBA can they easily upgrade their RotaJET press.”
CPA’s annual Spring Meeting is the premiere business and networking event for the North American Composite panel industry, bringing together nearly 250+ industry leaders, spouses and guests.
