The Linerless Trail will make its American debut at Labelexpo Americas 2016 which is being held in Rosemont, Illinois from 13 – 15 September. One of two new feature areas for this year’s edition, the Linerless Trail aims to give printers/converters an insight into the label industry of the future with reduced costs, less waste and improved sustainability across the supply chain.
First held at Labelexpo Europe 2015, the Linerless Trail at Labelexpo Americas collects together leading suppliers from across the label and package printing spectrum including Appvion, Bostik, Evonik, Henkel Corporation, Innovia Films, Maan Engineering, Max International Converters, MPS, NAStar and Ravenwood Packaging.
Linerless labels are essentially pre-printed pressure sensitive labels but without the traditional release coating and liner format that stops it from sticking to other labels. Showcasing their labeling technology, the Linerless Trail participants will be highlighting the commercial benefits of adopting and offering a linerless capability to customers. Visitors to the show will be able to see live demonstrations as well as collect linerless samples.
Tasha Ventimiglia, Labelexpo Americas event director said: “Linerless technology is still in its relative infancy, so the Trail will give visitors a better understanding of how it works and how they can integrate linerless into their existing production line. Linerless offers several advantages including more labels on a roll, fewer roll changes in the process and transportation benefits, so the Linerless Trail is an excellent feature for converters who are eager to eliminate their waste levels and improve sustainability in their business.”
An early bird discount rate is available until 2 September with expo-only passes costing from $60. Further discounts apply for members of TLMI, ACOBAN, AIMCAL, AMETIQ, FSEA and FTA. Visitors can register to attend at www.labelexpo-americas.com.
