Rotoflex, a world leader in inspection, slitting, rewinding and die cutting equipment announced today the successful installation of four offline finishing machines at Megaflex, a growing label printer in the Netherlands. Installed were two Rotoflex high speed inspection, slitting and rewinding machines (one VSI and one VLI series) in addition to two die cutting models, the DSI and DLI. The sale of the four machines was managed by Packtion, the local Rotoflex agent and installation overseen by the Rotoflex European service team.
Megaflex is a family owned business that specializes in printed prime labels utilizing flexo and digital printing technologies as well as a variety of blank labels. Over the years, the client base of Megaflex has expanded progressively within various industries in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The company serves a broad range of industry and business sizes; from bakeries and patisseries to manufactures in the food packaging industry.
Jan van Limpt, director and owner of Megaflex comments, “With a consistent growth rate of 25% in the last six years, and the investment in new presses, it was time to also expand our finishing production with newer technology. The two Rotoflex machines we had previously purchased over 17 years ago proved their worth in speed, reliability and high quality label finishing, so we naturally opted to invest in Rotoflex again. Our four new Rotoflex finishing machines have been in production since June, and we are pleased with the level of support from the factory, their local agent Packtion, and especially the performance of the VSI, VLI, DSI and DLI. With the flexibility these four machines offer, we have been able to increase our order volume while maintaining our customer promise of 24-hour turnaround time.”
Known for a high level of accuracy in demanding production environments, the Rotoflex VSI is the most widely used model in traditional label and printed roll-to-roll inspection and rewinding. The VLI is a premier inspection, slitting and rewind system with expanded capabilities for more advanced applications and high-speed production. Offering more streamlined finishing workflows and increased productivity, the Rotoflex DSI die cutting platform with the incorporation of servo drives and a smaller footprint accommodates a variety of inspection systems and can run as a slitter/rewinder or as a die cutter. The DLI machines are designed for consistent long-run operation to support demanding die cutting applications.
“During my recent visit to Megaflex, it was very impressive to see such a range of advanced printing and finishing equipment in the Megaflex production areas,” comments Ralph Beier, director of Rotoflex. “It is evident that both Jan van Limpt and his son Bart are extremely passionate about their company, and have created a work environment with open communication. As proven in their year-over-year business growth, they have clearly made a mark as an expert printer of labels.”
