Michelman has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Beijing, China based Syntax Technology Limited, whereby Syntax will assume sole distribution responsibilities for Michelman’s line of HP-recommended DigiPrime® digital printing primers and DigiGuard® overprint varnishes. DigiPrime and DigiGuard are industry-leading brands for use with HP Indigo presses.
With over 600 installations, Syntax is the largest global distributor of HP Indigo presses, and is one of the first companies to bring digital printing technology to China. Founded in 1999, Syntax became the chief distributor for HP Indigo presses in 2002 and continues to provide the Chinese market with high-end digital printing solutions. The company has branch offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, and provides its customers with sales, service, technical support, supplies, and training.
According to Mr. Steven Wong, Michelman’s VP/Managing Director, Asia Pacific, “With the rapid development of the Chinese digital printing market, this distribution agreement will allow us to most effectively support our growing customer base across the country. Michelman DigiPrime is a line of HP-recommended/certified primers that improve ink receptivity, rub resistance and image quality on most types of paper, plastic, metallic and film substrates. Michelman DigiGuard is a line of HP-recommended/certified overprint varnishes that enhance print quality and protect printed materials. Both brands are water-based, safe for the environment and the press operator.
