Global leader in high performance media for print, Kernow North America has announced that Xeikon has approved the use of two matte white adhesive film coatings for the Xeikon 8000 series and Xeikon 9800 machines.
The certification covers Kernow’s 4.7mil KernowPrint PET based media, a high stability and temperature resistant material, which will not melt, scratch, shrink or deform like cheaper alternatives.
Xeikon has also confirmed that the 2mil KernowPrint matte white permanent adhesive labels have been certified for use on Xeikon machines. KernowPrint was developed as an extremely tough and durable media that requires no lamination and is weatherproof, waterproof, chemical and tear resistant.
The Xeikon 8000 series and Xeikon 9800 are designed for use in short-run print shops through to large print service providers. “At Xeikon we continuously add new technologies to the different parts of our total solution approach” says Danny Mertens, Corporate Communications Manager at Xeikon. “New high-tech substrates, like those of Kernow, fit perfectly in our application-range as it brings a lot of added value to our customers developing new products.”
