Nobelus, a global film supplier for the packaging industry, has received a BRCGS Packaging Materials AA Certification for its Elgin, IL, facility. The certification, which was issued on September 3, 2026, signifies that the Nobelus facility operates in accordance with BRCGS food safety standards, which are recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) to denote alignment with established international benchmarks.
The audit was conducted by an independent third party, which evaluated manufacturing processes, incoming materials, hygiene, and the release of materials to determine the company had met all qualifications for certification. Process improvements taken on by Nobelus included hygiene controls, enhanced traceability, supplier approval, and increased regulatory compliance. A BRCGS AA ranking signifies that Nobelus met the highest standards for an announced food safety audit.
