Scodix, the world’s leading provider of digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, today announces that beta testing for its breakthrough Scodix E106 enhancement press for the folding carton market is happening on schedule and is underway at CopyCenter, the largest folding carton printer in Israel.
Renowned for state-of-the-art technology, quality standards and consequent customer satisfaction, CopyCenter is keen to add digital enhancement to its workflow according to Uri Drori CEO of CopyCenter.
“The versatile Scodix E106 Digital Enhancement Press is the perfect addition to our portfolio. The outstanding range of enhancements in a B1 format means we will be able to fulfil all our enhancement jobs on just one platform. Also, working with high profile customers in the beauty category means that shelf appeal is critical to the products we produce. Digital technology will allow us to meet the ever-increasing demand for new applications including versioning and short runs that these products require.”
The Scodix E106 made its debut at drupa 2016 and was developed specifically to deliver enhancement solutions for folding carton converters who need the 1060 x 760mm format. Unique combinations of enhancements exclusive to Scodix technology provide clear benefits for folding carton converters to differentiate their offering and boost profit margins. As well as a new standard in registration tolerance that will enable new and more complex enhancement designs.
“We were already aware of the high levels of productivity and quality provided by Scodix digital enhancement presses, we just needed the larger format for our folding carton market. With no tooling costs and next to no set-up – it’s an undeniably attractive option to replace analogue equipment,” comments Drori. “We were delighted to have the chance to beta test the Scodix E106 as the benefits of digital enhancement are so clear for the folding carton market.”
Scodix CEO, Roy Porat, adds, we are delighted to be working with a premier carton maker in CopyCenter and we can also announce that a second beta will be installed this summer in Europe. Porat went on to say: “Printers and converters investing in the Scodix E106 will be able to offer short to medium run lengths profitably, offer new products, enter new markets and – fundamentally – clinch a competitive edge in tough market conditions with value-added services that truly energize brands. At drupa 2016 we pledged that beta testing would be underway mid-2017 and we are delivering on that promise. This phase takes us a step closer a new standard in packaging enhancement.”
The Scodix E106 press delivers multiple premium quality applications on one platform. These include Scodix Foil™, Scodix Sense™, Scodix Spot™, Scodix Variable Data and Scodix Cast & Cure™. Brand owners can create stunning products using foil over foil, adding Scodix Sense effects over foil, or personalising with Scodix Variable Data Sense or Scodix Variable Data Foil – effects that were previously unachievable in this market.
