The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP) today announced the success of its second annual Community Gathering held on November 3, 2015 in Atlanta GA. More than 75 people attended the event, which included a variety of sessions and networking opportunities. The content was interactive and provided participants a chance to meet, speak with and gain invaluable insight from SGP certified facilities, resource partners, brands and experts.
“The momentum of SGP as the driver for sustainability in the printing industry and print procurement was reflected at the SGP Community Day 2015,” said Marci Kinter, past chair of SGP. “Conversations are more dynamic as SGP certified facilities are engaging in webinars and sharing best practices as part of the Community Gathering experience throughout the year.”
The day included a range of presenters including Francis Poirier Jr, Specialty Printing; Jonathan Graham, SGP Board of Directors; Ford Bowers, Miller Zell; Melanie Malnati, TAG Worldwide and Lou Liotta, Novitex Enterprise Solutions. The day closed with a workshop by Gabriel Grant of Authentic Sustainability, on identifying common pitfalls of advocacy for sustainability and creating pathways toward authentic, effective engagement.
Save the date for the 2016 SGP Community Gathering, set for Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV.
